These pastel portraits of flowers were all drawn directly from nature. I brought each flower into my studio from my garden, pinned it under a strong light and drew as quickly and surely as I could as the flower's wilting made this necessary. In some cases the flowers opened up as I was working on them. Most were drawn on 24" x 36" arches paper. Archival pigmented ink-jet prints were also made. Information available upon request.
